The Effects of Image Training on Competition Learning Swimming

Abstract

|
The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effects of image training on the competition learning swimming. Forty male university students who hand no experience of swimming were recruited and divided in to following four groups ; internal image, external image, internal and external image, control. Dependant variables were angle errors shutting and forms of swing the results of retention analyses showed no significant of angle errors between groups and interpreted that the number of practice trials might not enough for competition learning swimming.
However, the analyses of pecking forms in dictated that all image training groups performed better than control group, Stance and address, and impact, furthermore, the most important findings of the present study was a benefit of internal image training.
These results were not supported kohl and shea(1991 ; 1992) suggestion which augured the benefit of internal and external image training in other words. the internal image training was more effective on learning swimming than the combination of internal and external training that might give many information to the learner.
